Ceva Santé Animale is strengthening its global R&D organization and accelerating its ambition in vaccines and biologicals.
As part of this transformation, we are creating a Vice President - Vaccine Development role to lead and elevate our global development capabilities.
The role provides senior leadership across all vaccine development domains, ensuring scientific, regulatory, manufacturing and portfolio coherence from the development stagegate through registration readiness, while aligning with Discovery innovation, technology platforms and development execution under a single, integrated vision.
As a direct manager of multiple Senior Vaccine Leaders, the VP Vaccine Development drives clarity of priorities, consistency of execution and portfoliolevel value creation, while acting as a key decisionmaking authority within R&D governance.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the EVP R&D, the VP Vaccine Development will:
- Define and implement a clear, differentiated global vaccine development strategy aligned with portfolio and business priorities
- Lead portfolio prioritization, value optimization, and trade-offs across multiple development programs
- Establish robust governance, decision-making frameworks, and execution standards across vaccine development
- Drive the transformation of the organization, including structure, operating model, and capabilities
- Lead and develop a global team of senior leaders across multiple sites and domains
- Ensure strong cross-functional integration with Discovery, Regulatory, Manufacturing and Commercial teams
- Accelerate delivery of key strategic programs in a fast and highly competitive environment
- Foster a high-performance, accountable, and collaborative culture across the organization
Le profil recherché
· Advanced degree (PhD, DVM, MD or equivalent) in life sciences
· 15+ years of experience in vaccines or biologics development, within pharma, biotech, or animal health
· Proven track record of end-to-end vaccine development, including successful product licensing
· Strong experience in portfolio-level leadership, prioritization, and strategic decision-making
· Demonstrated ability to lead large, global, and matrix organizations
· Solid understanding of regulatory pathways, CMC, and industrial constraints
· Expertise in livestock (particularly swine and ruminants) is highly desirable
· Recognized as a transformational leader, able to drive change in complex environments
· Combines strategic vision with pragmatic execution and strong decision-making
